  1. Just Released!! Bible App for Kids

YouVersion, the pioneering company which first made the Bible available on smartphones has just released the newest member of the Bible app family for children, called Bible app for kids in partnership with OneHope.

The animated storybook app is designed for children ages 4 to 10 and contains colourful illustrations with touch-activated animations.

Bible stories include “Noah”, “The king and the Kingdom (known as the Sermon on the mount),” “God’s Good News” and other children favourites.

Kids can expect “an interactive experience full of fun, games and stories to help educate and empower them with God’s love,”  YouVersion stated on its website.

The application is completely free and is available for Android smart phones and tablets.

A Spanish version,  La Biblia App para Niños!  was just launched today, August 9 and is now available to Spanish speaking children  on Bible Apps for Kids.

Bible app for kids is already installed on over 3 million devices.

2. Superbook Bible, Video & Games

The Christian Broadcasting Network’s Emmy-nominated children’s animation series – SUPERBOOK, has inspired the development of this free Bible app which aims to encourage kids to interact with and learn more about the Bible.  The developers have updated since May this year. New features include

– Minor bug fixes to the Bible Q&A and Wi-Fi

– Daily Quests with encouraging verses, trivia and word searches

– Hundreds of new videos, games, images and Bible profiles (free in-app update)

– Continuous Bible Audio

– Multiple Bible Versions

Kids should engaging dynamic video clips from the animated series, images of Bible characters, places and artefacts, hundreds of Bible questions and answers, detailed biographies and  games all designed to help kids “easily interact with each chapter of the children’s Bible,” the website says.

  1. Children’s Bible for Toddlers

This app is based on the bestselling toddlers Bible “The Carry Along Bible” which is sold by Copenhagen Publishing House in more than 400.000 copies worldwide.

It is for infants 0-5 and has numerous Bible stories narrated in simple language toddlers understand. The touch-activated animation, sounds and music on the pages will engage your little one as well.

This app is not all free however. You get five Bible stories free of charge; the other 18 Bible Stories can be purchased through in-app purchase.

Children and parents also get three self-recordings which can be used to record their own versions of their favourite stories.

The app is compatible with Android devices and mobile devices.
