A week ago, I shared a post with some eye-opening data showing the virtual habits of this i-kids generation and the game apps, social media and smart devices they are plugging into. I also shared some recommendations in that post regarding how parents can better monitor their ‘virtual kids’ to halt the unsafe results that can occur with unsupervised screen time.
In that post, I promised to share Part 2 with you. That should have been yesterday. However, I was unable to because I discovered that I had mistakenly deleted the scheduled post. I had to find another post for you, hence the 5 Parenting Pegs I shared yesterday.
A short while ago, I came across this related article from Huffington Post in my inbox which addresses some shockingly unhealthy effects of kids spending too much time on their electronic devices. It has much of the same information I was hoping to share, but with more statistical evidence.
Take a moment to check it out and enjoy.
I’ll continue searching to find the information I’d originally wanted to share with you. I’ll be posting as soon as I have completed writing it.
