Today is the last day to get entries into the 2015 Jamaica Children’s Gospel Song Competition.
The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC), an agency of the Ministry of Youth and Culture encourages children from schools, churches and communities and between the ages of 6 and 15 years to compete with original or cover songs in the solo, choir and ensemble categories of the competition. Individual children may also enter.
According to the Agency’s press release, interested individuals can still meet the Friday, November 28, 2014 deadline and access entry forms from the JCDC website, www.jcdc.gov.jm, its Head Office at 3-5 Phoenix Avenue in Kingston or Parish Offices across the island.
“An anticipated JCDC Competition, the Jamaica Children’s Gospel Competition has for over 10 years provided a platform for talent development and inspiration in addition to priceless exposure of Jamaican children,” the release noted.
Participants have the opportunity to win cash prizes and awards while enjoying the invaluable experience and talent development the Competition affords.
Entry submissions have been open since October.
